Mikado can only offer general returns or exchanges for items that have NOT been personalised to your specifications.
For non-personalised products, we offer returns and exchanges within 14 days from the date your order ships from our offices.
- Hosiery and intimate items (e.g., tights, socks, panty smoothers) cannot be returned for hygiene reasons unless faulty and unworn.
- Items must be returned with or in their original packaging.
- Proof of purchase (order confirmation or invoice) is required.
Refunds are offered on returns of non-personalized items, via your the original payment method. Returns and refunds will be processed once the product/s have been returned and inspected.
Please Note: Shipping charges are not refundable. Mikado will not be liable for any shipping charges on general returns or exchanges.
Policy on Faulty Product Returns
While Mikado products are of high quality and we pride ourselves on excellence, we understand that very occasionally, an issue may arise.
Please provide photographic evidence clearly showing any quality concerns, we will gladly arrange for a courier to collect the item(s).

Packaging Requirements for returns to our factory
To ensure your return or exchange is processed without delay, please package the product(s) in their original packaging or a suitable alternative. It is important to properly secure the items to prevent damage during transit. If the product(s) arrive at our workshop damaged due to inadequate packaging, we will be unable to process your return or exchange.

At Mikado, we take pride in the quality of our products.
Warranty: Our products are covered by a 30-day limited warranty against manufacturing defects, such as faulty seams, excessive unraveling, or major flaws in material. This warranty does not cover damage from normal wear and tear, improper washing, or misuse.
If a product fails during normal, intended use, we will replace it at our discretion under our Quality Guarantee.
What’s Not Covered:
Normal wear and tear including stretching, snags, holes from use, etc.
Damage resulting from improper care or maintenance
Any deterioration due to neglect or misuse
Any issue not explicitly covered will be reviewed and determined at Mikado’s sole discretion

Your order number (if purchased through our website)
Clear photo(s) of the defect
Approximate date of purchase (month and year)

All prices on our website are VAT inclusive.
ONLINE SHOP: We use door to door courier delivery via The Courier Guy at a flat rate R110.
If your location falls outside The Courier Guy ECO standard delivery areas or is classified as a high-risk area, we will contact you should any additional courier charges apply beyond our flat rate.
Please Note: Courier charges are not refundable. Mikado will not be liable for any courier charges on general returns or exchanges.
WHOLESALE ORDER SHIPPING:
Delivery method, fees and timings will be provided by our sales team based on your specific quotation, quantities & location.
Online Shop Orders:
Total Order Processing & Shipping can take between 3-10 working days depending on the following criteria:
- Order Processing: Allow 2-3 business days.
- Shipping to main city areas across South Africa: 1 to 3 business days,
- Shipping to outlying areas: 3 to 7 business days.
Once your order is booked and collected by The Courier Guy, you will receive a confirmation email / SMS with your tracking information letting you know it’s on the way.
Delivery, Collection days & Notifications:
The Courier Guy delivers packages Monday−Friday (no Public Holidays). Delivery is between 8 am. and 6 pm. You will receive an SMS notification from the Courier Guy on your day of delivery.
Wholesale Orders:
- Once you send an enquiry & sign off on a quotation, please allow 5-10 days to process the order. Order times may vary depending on stock availability & production lead times. This will be communicated to you by our sales team.
- If you have requested a custom design the order may take between 7-14 working days to manufacture before it is shipped to you.
Delivery will then take place based on your quotation (usually 3-7 days delivery after order processing).
Online Shop Orders:
Once your order has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email from Mikado that your order is complete and booked for collection by the courier. This will then be followed by an email / notification from The Courier Guy with your Tracking Number and delivery details.

Custom / personalised orders cannot be cancelled once they are signed off and put into production.

Socks are as per standard South African Shoe Sizes or Indicated as One Size Fits All (OSFA).

Mikado offers product customisation, including personalised design work and logos provided in PDF vector format. Custom orders can be fulfilled for a minimum order of 20 pairs, provided the artwork is correctly formatted and is original content that you own.
Please note that we do not accept third-party logos or designs that infringe on copyright and registered trademarks or copying of another company’s designs.
Timing: If you have requested a custom design the order may take between 7-14 working days to manufacture before it is shipped to you.
